British luxury car maker Aston Martin has recently unveiled the Vanquish S Volante, a convertible variant of the newest Vanquish S coupe.
Both models share the same 5.9L naturally aspirated V12 engine which cranks out 580 horsepower and with 465 lb-ft of torque on tap for buyers in the US. Power is delivered through an eight-speed ZF gearbox.
The stylish coupé can hit 62 mph in just 3.5 seconds and ultimately top out at 201 mph. It is not clear though if it has been tamed a bit by extra weight or aerodynamic compromises, though it must still beat the 4.1-second sprint and 183-mph top speed of the basic Vanquish Volante.
Both the coupé and the convertible come with an aluminum and carbon-fiber body, with distinct design elements to help set the ‘S’ cars apart from their lesser Vanquish siblings. Complementing the sexy look of these cars are a unique set of 20-inch glossy black wheels.
The all-new Vanquish S Volante is anticipated to arrive in US car dealerships this spring.
